# Why is the red light on the Scan2 barcode scanner flashing quickly when connected to the PC terminal?

## The red flashing light typically means the battery in the Scan2 module is improperly placed.

If the Scan2 indicator light on the top of the module is flashing red quickly, check the battery to make sure it is placed in the battery tray correctly. Replace battery if proper placement does not resolve.
