Customize the name of the Rufus Scan2 bluetooth scanner that appears in Bluetooth connections on devices
Follow these steps to change the name of Rufus Scan2 that appears in bluetooth connections:
1) Set the scanner in StandardScan / HID pairing mode by scanning this barcode first:
2) Create a custom barcode including the custom name you would like to use to rename the scanner using the following format [BT:Scan1234] with "Scan1234" as the new barcode scanner name of your choice. (see example below). You can create your own barcode with a barcode generator of choice or head to https://barcode.tec-it.com/en
** MAKE SURE YOU USE BRACKETS [ ] around the text like shown in the example below, otherwise the function will not execute. **
3) Scan the newly created barcode to set your scanner name
4) Power your Scan2 off and on again to restart the scanner
5) Go to Connected Devices in Settings and select "Pair New Device"
6) You will now see your newly named scanner in the device menu, select pair to begin pairing process.
*A reboot of both devices may be required for changes to take effect
